Tasks and Jobs

Jobs and tasks must be created in order to be processed using opswitch. Jobs and tasks are defined as follows

Task

Section titled “Task”

This is the definition of what to do. For example, you can create an EBS snapshot or an EC2 Backup for which AWS account, in which region, and for which tagged resource. Before creating a job, you must first create it from a task.

Job

Section titled “Job”

This defines which tasks are to be executed in what order and on what schedule. For example, you can set up a job to execute Task A and Task B in order at 3:00 every day.
